The Rural Assistance Nepal sponsored walk and event organised by Emily Checksfield on August 6 2011 at Herne Bay, raised enough money to fund a whole library for a school in Rukkum with money left over for medical supplies! Therefore, not only have we helped to educate two villages either side of the school but bought valuable medical supplies for Bangeswal, a rural district in Nepal, with just that one event!!
WELL DONE EVERYONE!!

The Gurkhas are still fighting for equality and justice with the UK Government despite winning the settlement rights in the United Kingdom. Gurkhas have been discriminated against on many fronts, the most significant being the pension that is the life line of the Gurkhas. UBGEA is a major Gurkha organisation that has been fighting for equality and justice for the Gurkhas and their families with the UK Government for the last 10 years.
UBGEA has decided to launch a country wide SIGNATURE CAMPAIGN to garner support from the British public and well wishers to put further pressure on the UK Government to settle the dispute once and for all by providing equality and justice to the Gurkhas who have continuously served the United Kingdom with utmost loyalty. For this reason the UBGEA held a Press Conference on July 1st 2011.
We are grateful to the British public and the media for their continued support and sympathy towards the cause of the Gurkhas and look forward to your full support and wide publicity for this very worthy cause.
Yours truly
DEEPAK MASKEY General Secretary

The first Nepali Bazar UK event was on November 19 2011 at Oak Farm Community Hall Farnborough GU14 8SS from 12:30 to 7pm!
Our main goal was to introduce the Nepalese Community lifestyle, as well as helping Nepalese economical growth. An introduction to Nepalese food, culture and charity for the community as well as creating a platform for young and established Nepali entrepreneurs to meet, share/exchange business ideas, make associations with like-minded business people - this Bazar allows you to test the market at a very low cost!
